Good Morning Resident,

Yesterday was the start of Operation Spotlight, a National Police Chief’s Council campaign focusing on making roads safer.

Throughout April we are joining other police forces across the country to remind all drivers about the top five causes of those who are killed and seriously injured on our roads:

  Speeding

  Drink and drug driving

  Not wearing a seatbelt

  Using a mobile phone

  Careless driving.

Our dedicated roads policing team tackles these offences daily in our efforts to keep our roads safer.
